This series (CJ) concerns exclusively a single object; a small jug, hammered into shape by a skilled maker. A utilitarian, anonymous and treasured object intended for functionality but exquisite in its fabrication. There are about fifty paintings to date in this series alone, and it's far from finished. An intimate portrait of an object in all its dimensions. 

I’m painting the rémenance of the form; the visual imprint left when you close your eyes, an afterglow of sorts.
