Polly moved to Paris in 2005 after studying object design at Goldsmiths College in London. She recently devoted herself to painting full time after working as an illustrator in the fields of design and architecture.
I paint in oil or acrylic or both. Depending on the time and the weather. Depending on the porcelain dust cloud in the studio.
I paint in lowlight or nolight. In english and in french. I paint in my tiny studio, in the corner of a giant ceramics workshop, surrounded by craftsmen turning their wares.
I like to imagine that my paintings might contain traces of these pots and glazes, a kind of cross pollination.
My first series of paintings revolve around a single object. a small and treasured brass cream-jug. This series might be infinite....

1st prize for state run ‘art in new architecture’ competition. A design for concrete seating sculptures for a college near Lyon outskirts.

Shortlisted and exhbition for graduate design prize competition run by the James Dyson Gallery in Paris.
